Kika sighed and Yuri just shrugged. There was no figuring out this girl
Meanwhile, Megumi clapped and smiled. "You are such a CUTE little Seel!" She squealed. The girl gasped and suddenly took the pokemon's paws in her hands. "You should come with me! Oh it'll be so fun! We'll enter contests and win ribbons, just you, me, Kika, Yuri, and Star. We'll be so happy together, little Seel, you'll see!"

The Seel's ice blue eyes widened. Go? With Megumi? A trainer? Quicksilver wasn't sure what she thought...On one hand, she missed having a trainer...no, she missed Sam. She missed the boy who had raised her and loved her and trained her. But maybe another trainer -- maybe Megumi -- could do the same. But on the other hand, she enjoyed her freedom. It wasn't that she really minded being "owned" by a trainer -- it was that unlike other Pokemon, it was difficult for her to travel outside a Pokeball. That was the whole reason Sam had released her: the give her the freedom she hadn't had.
Then, finally, the Seel unexpectedly squeaked happily, pressing the side of her head against the girl's arm. <"I'd be glad to,"> Quicksilver barked, and although the girl couldn't understand her exact words, she would surely get the meaning.

Megumi jumped up and squealed with delight. "EEEEK! YAY YAY YAY!" The girl then dropped to the ground again, grinning madly. "You're gonna so love it, sweetie! Oh, I need to give you a name." Megumi touched a finger to her chin in thought and studied the Seel. Sleek with a silver coat. "I'll name you Silvia!" She proclaimed happily.

Star couldn't help but shake her head at this, feeling quite sorry for the seel. Sighing, the female vulpix sat where she was, her six tails curled against her back and looked at the forst before her. She really didn't know what to make of Megumi at the moment, unsure whether to listen to her or not. But being wild at heart, It was hard to even listen at all. Looking over her shoulder, the female vulpix half closed her hazel-brown eyes at the seel. She was not jelouse, nor was she angry at them. She just had a small scence of pride, for their new teammate. Letting out a small flame from her mouth, Star layed down with a flick of her ears.

Silvia? Well, she had to admit, that was surprisingly close...kind of. At least it had the "silv" part. For a moment, Quicksilver considered just going along with it. After all, she could get used to it, right? It would be strange being called a different name, but she could adjust. Yet just as quickly, the Seel vehemently shot down the idea. No. What if by being called a different name, she eventually forgot her old name? Her real name? Her name...was the only thing she had left from Sam. Her name was her identity, and taking it away and replacing it would be like taking away part of her soul. But how to tell the girl that? And more importantly, how was she supposed to tell her her real name? It wasn't like she could talk to her and explain.
Then, suddenly, a memory hit the Seel.
"Hey Silv, take a look at this."
The Seel, laying on the floor of the boy's room, flipped over onto her belly as she blinked curiously, looking at the grinning ten-year-old flopped on his belly before her. "Seel?" <"What is it?">
Sam held up a piece of paper with two things that Quicksilver recognized as human writing on it. Two..."words" was what they called it, wasn't it? It just looked like odd little shapes to Silver, but then again, she was a Pokemon and it was human writing.
The two words read:
QUICKSILVER
SAM
The boy pointed first to the top word. "That's your name Silv. Quicksilver. And that," the boy pointed to the second word, "Is my name. Sam." Quicksilver blinked before giving an excited, happy bark, causing Sam to laugh and pet her head gently.
Those odd little pictures...closing her eyes, the Seel could still remember what it looked like. She didn't know how to write, persay -- she couldn't piece together those "letters" and make sense of them. But she could copy what she remembered. With a grin, Quicksilver realized she had a way to tell Megumi her name.
Shaking her head to show her disapproval of the name "Silvia," the Seel scooted back and charged up an Ice Beam. Then, carefully and almost painfully, Quicksilver slowly launched the attack as a small, focused beam, "writing" on the bank just in front of Megumi's feet. After a long while and several mistakes, Silver panted lightly as the attack broke off, its work done.
In front of the girl in sloppy but (barely) readable ice letters was the name "QUICKSILVER."
