Description:
Quicksilver is a rather unique Seel, to say the least. For one, she is rather light and slender for a Seel, coming in at about 180 pounds when most Seel weigh practically 200. However, she's not at all small; in fact, height-wise she's actually larger than average at about 4'08". Her size, though, is not her most prominent feature. The first thing you'll notice about Silver is her fur. Like her name, Quicksilver has a pale, shimmering silvery tinge to her fur rather than just the normal white. Her eyes are also rather special, colored a pale ice-blue rather than the normal black.
As one would expect with a slender build like Quicksilver's, this Seel is extremely fast in water, speedier than the average Seel by many times. This, along with her reflective fur, allows her to become almost invisible while swimming. Silver also has a rather high Special Attack, and depends on both her Speed and Special Attack in battle. Due to her lighter weight, she doesn't have much brute strength. Her defense is also not exceptionally high, standing at about a average level.
Personality:
Quicksilver can very easily be called a sweet little girl. Kind and compassionate, this rather motherly Seel is quick to help anyone in need, a tendency that can sometimes get her into trouble. She can't stand seeing anyone in pain, either physical or emotional, and is a great person to talk to when you're feeling down or just need a shoulder to cry on. No matter who you are, Silv is there for you.
Likewise, Silver is also extremely gentle. She doesn't like to fight unless absolutely necessary, and will always try to find a peaceful solution before resorting to any type of violence. This can sometimes get her in bad situations, especially when her adversary is not willing to talk. Still, it's hard to get Quicksilver to fight. She rarely ever gets angry, and when she does get mad or annoyed, she has a tendency to bottle it in so she doesn't upset others.
However, Silver isn't exactly the most social type. A bit shy and very elusive, she's as hard to find as she is kind, and if she doesn't want to be found, she won't be. Quicksilver tends to spend most of her time swimming in Sapphire Lake and Azure River or lounging around near the water's bottom, and either way she's not exactly easy to catch. She has an odd knack for disappearing and reappearing, and very few know where she lives -- a underwater grotto in Sapphire Lake.
This elusiveness can be traced to Quicksilver's solitary and free nature. Quicksilver is a flighty type who doesn't like things tying her down. She's not easy to make a close friend, as she rarely sticks around long enough to become one. For this reason, many know her, but very few know her well. Quicksilver isn't unfriendly; she just prefers to have a bit of space.
Despite this, Quicksilver does enjoy the company of others when she receives it. After all, she is quite young, and she still holds some of that childhood need for companions. Her youth also means she holds some of her old childish ways of fun and games. When she is around others, she can be both protective and a fun partner to play with. She can also get rather enthusiastic, and is actually a lot of fun.
Because Quicksilver was previously owned by a trainer, she's rather tolerant toward humans, even daring to sometimes interact with them if they seem friendly. Quicksilver has mixed views about being caught by a trainer. One part of her remembers the good times she had with her old trainer, and knows that life could be good under a kind trainer. However, she also loves her freedom and being able to go where she wants, when she wants, as well as to be able to be in water and swim all the time, both of which weren't and likely aren't possible under a trainer. She wouldn't mind being captured, but she certainly doesn't mind staying free either.
History:
Born to two Dewgongs belonging to a breeder, Quicksilver was a member of a clutch of three. However, she remembers nothing about her siblings or even her parents. Soon after her egg was laid, she was given to a ten-year-old boy named Sam Hawkins. Hatched and raised by Sam, the two soon became fast friends. When the boy began his journey soon after, Silver was his closest companion and his first Pokemon.
Quicksilver's two years with Sam were, in her opinion, the best of her life. Sam was kind and caring, and always put his Pokemon above everything else. It was from Sam that Silv gained her compassionate nature. Journeying slowly through Kanto, Sam focused less on battling and more on letting himself and his Pokemon have fun and enjoy the different sights of the region. Still, they did train, although never to the point of exhaustion; Sam only did as much as he knew his Pokemon could take.
Still, despite Silver's own happiness, Sam had always had feelings of guilt. He knew that Seels were happiest in water, something he could not always provide. Their clumsiness on land meant that when he was traveling, he had to keel Quicksilver in a Pokeball. Silver herself didn't mind much, but Sam always felt that his best friend deserved better. When Sam visited Cameron and Sapphire Lake, he knew that his companion would be better off free, and so the two sorrowfully parted ways. Since then, Quicksilver has lived happily in Sapphire Lake, but neither have forgotten their best friend.

RP Example:
It was a beautiful day in Cameron. The season was spring, and the day was lovely and sunny. Sapphire Lake resembled its namesake more than ever, blue waters glistening and shimmering beneath the morning sun. At the lake's green shores was a boy of about fourteen years, a Seel in the water in front of him. The Seel was happily swimming in the lake, a rare luxury for her. The boy, Sam, meanwhile, was looking on with an unreadable expression.
There was silence for many minutes, the only sounds being the Bird Pokemon in the trees and the water lapping on the shores of the lake, strengthened slightly by the swimming Water Pokemon. It was Sam that broke the silence, a wane smile on his face. "You happy Silv?" he asked, reaching out a hand to scratch the Seel's head. Quicksilver bumped his hand gently with her head and nodded, looking up at the boy with happy ice-blue eyes. "Seel, seel!" <"Yeah, it's great Sam.">
Even though the boy could not understand the Pokemon's words, her meaning was clear, and Sam couldn't help but chuckled a bit before sighing and leaning back. Blinking, the Seel stopped swimming, now looking at her trainer quizzically. "Seel?" <"What's wrong?">
The trainer shifted, meeting his Pokemon's ice blue eyes with his own green ones. "Silver..." he began, his voice soft and sad, "You're so happy here. In the water. The wild. And I can't give you that all the time. At least, not if you're with me."
Catching on to what the trainer was saying, the Seel widened her eyes. "Seel, seel!" <"Sam, of course I'm happy with you!">
"We're best friends, Silv," the trainer replied. "I love you, and I know that you love me. But..." He swallowed. "I want to do what's best for you. And keeping you with me isn't what's best."
"Seel..." <"But..."> Quicksilver whimpered sadly, looking up at Sam with blue eyes filled with emotion. "Seel, seel seel." <"You don't have to do this for me Sam.">
"I want what's best for you," the trainer repeated, before taking out a Pokeball, one that Quicksilver recognized: hers. With a gulp, Sam closed his eyes and quickly threw it against a rock. The ball shattered, the pieces flying off the rock and into the grass. The Seel was surrounded for a moment in a pale glow before it disappeared. She felt no different on the outside, but with a bittersweet feeling she knew everything had changed.
With tears streaming out of his closed eyes, the boy picked up the Seel out of the water, hugging her close to him. "I love you Silv," he whispered. "You're my best friend forever. Never forget that."
"Seel seel seel." <"I love you too Sam..."> Quicksilver replied, wrapping her own flippers partially around the boy's body. For a moment, the two friends embraced for what they knew would be the last time before the boy gently set the Pokemon back in the water, lifting a hand to wipe his tears while managing a small smile on his face. "Good luck Silv. Be free. Have fun. I'll miss you lots. But I know this is for the best."
"Seel seel," the Seel whispered back. <"Good luck Sam. I'll miss you too.">
The two partners locked eyes for one more moment, one moment that lasted an eternity, before Sam finally turned away. Soon, both disappeared, one into the forest, another into the lake.
Both had glistening sapphire tears in their eyes.
