Suchi ~ level 70
CRACK! The sound of a log splitting pounded through the air like a gun shot, scattering pidgey and other bird pokemon from the trees. Standing in the middle of a large clearing was a female scizor. The light from the leaf-filled canopy above made Suchi's metallic red shell gleam with a polished sparkle.
Her wasp-like wings were folded on her back neatly as she surveyed the scene around her with sharp yellow eyes. A large pile of wood and logs recently cut down were stacked in one corner of the dirt clearing... The rest of the pile was neatly split in half... Almost perfectly...
This was training... The woodsmen around Cameron needed a little help splitting some of the wood that was cut down recently. Silver thought it would have been good training for his bug/steel type, hoping it would improve her attack and focus her attention to detail as well as her focus. Currently, her trainer was going back to the hotel to get some water. The female scizor appreciated the thought... Although she could easily just cut the logs, the extreme attention to perfect halves was starting to burn on her after 3 hours.
Suchi glanced down at a large log at her feet. With an audible clang, the scizor kicked it about 10 feet in the air. With a red blur and another CRACK, the log fell into four perfect pieces evenly split. The scizor clicked her surprisingly sharp pincers as she landed gracefully back down.

``A P O C A L Y P S E the absol ~ level 90 `` R A G N A R O K the absol ~ level 90
In the woods surrounding the clearing, two Absols padded through the undergrowth. Apocalypse and Ragnarok were hungry...at least, Apocalypse was. And Ragnarok was not willing to put up with his sister's incessant whining or willing to let his sister starve. Oddly enough though, the two didn't seem to be hunting...odd, because Absols were known to be predatory Pokemon. Or at least, most of them were. However, the twins weren't exactly killers, or at least Apocalypse wasn't. So usually, the two resorted to eating berries; even if it wasn't as good as meat, it kept them alive.
And that was what they were searching for at this moment: berries. They'd come here after leaving Sapphire Lake at the suggestion of Rain, who'd told them there was a large berry patch in the vicinity. However, enthusiastic as always, Apocalypse had sped off...only to get the two lost, much to the annoyance of Ragnarok.
<"Rag-Rag...I'm hungry..."> the lithe female Absol complained, shaking strands of silvery fur out of her eyes.
The larger Pokemon gave the former a slightly condescending look. <"Maybe if you had not run off, we would have found food already,"> he stated, although there was a bit of worry in his dark violet eyes. Spring was here, but plants were still just growing, and winter had certainly taken its toll. Apocalypse was definitely thinner than before...and she was small to begin with.
Suddenly, Ragnarok froze, muscles stiffening as the Absol unexpectedly halted. There was a metallic noise...and a scent. One that he recognized from a rather bad meeting at Sapphire Lake not long ago. <"Apocalypse,"> the Disaster Pokemon hissed. <"Stop. Right. Now.">
The lithe Pokemon had continued on ahead, unknowingly stepping into a clearing...the same clearing where Suchi was. Confused, the female Absol turned her head, lavender eyes blinking, head tilted. <"Wha?"> It was then that she heard noise behind her, and turned to see a very familiar Scizor.
Ragnarok growled, running between Apocalypse and Suchi, taking on a defensive pose. <"Apocalypse..."> he hissed quietly. <"Get out of here..."> (Apocalypse, of course, shook her head; she wasn't goign to abandon her brother). Ragnarok wasn't going to attack unless he had to...but this was the same Scizor who belonged to the trainer that had attacked them before at Sapphire Lake. He didn't know if she would do the same now...but he wasn't going to take chances.

Suchi's head turned as the female scizor surveyed the two absols with her glinting yellow eyes as they came through the tree line, and just stood there and stared at the scizor. Suchi stared back as well, then turned her head and started hacking at logs again. "<You should go before my trainer gets here absols...>" Suchi stated with her quiet, raspy voice. "<I have no interest in fighting you now, but when he comes here and finds you, I would gladly fight if he so commands it.>"

Ragnarok relaxed slightly, nodding respectfully, although his eyes were still guarded. <"Then we will take our leave..."> The large Absol turned to go, but before he could, Apocalypse interrupted, stepping around her brother and gazing at Suchi with wide, innocent lavender eyes.
<"Why doesn't your trainer like us?"> the female Absol stated matter of factly, her voice soft. <"Why does he wanna attack us?"> A pause. <"And why would you attack us if he asked when we haven't done anything wrong?">

The scizor glanced at Apocalypse with wide yellow eyes, as if she were shocked by the female absol's statement. "<What made you think he disliked you?>" Suchi asked in her raspy voice. "<My trainer loves all pokemon as creatures that deserve immense respect for their powers and lives.>"
Suchi bent down and started to prepare another huge log. "<Because of that respect, he knew that a wild and powerful pair of absols that wasn't afraid of humans not too far from the city and fighting a beginning trainer, could easily spell disaster. My trainer saw this and acted accordingly... He is the son of a gym leader... It was his job and duty... His... Honor... To drive you off back in the wild. Your friend... Rain as I believe she is called... Shocked and infuriated him. In his eyes, he saw a lot of careless irresponsibility. If we aren't bound by a pokeball, there is nothing keeping us from harming a human other then ourselves. My trainer has a job to protect human civilians. Human life is above a pokemon to him. You were a threat, and although he would have preferred some other course of action, he did what he thought what he had to do.>"
Suchi prepared to lift the log. "<He sees things differently than your friend Rain. He cannot "connect" to us the same way she can... That doesn't stop him from forming a relationship regardless. We are partners and friends. In his own reserved way, he loves us, and wants us to reach our full potential. Even though we cannot speak to each other, I honor and respect him. He made me what I am when... When I wouldn't be here otherwise... Since he saved my life, I dedicate the rest to him... What kind of person would go out of his way to save a pokemon's life and form a bond with them if he didn't like pokemon? His view is just that wild pokemon and humans should be separate.>"
Crack! The log split in four sections as Suchi gently landed again. "<That is why I would fight you if necessary. Your close to a nearby town, and Silver knows you have no real fear. He would order me to fight you, and since I would die for him, I would fight you. He knows this, and I know this. Stay away from human settlements absols, and by far, leave this place in the very least.>"

Apocalypse stood silent for a moment, black and white head tilted, lavender eyes blinking, almost as if evaluating everything Suchi said with a thoughtfulness uncommon to the lithe Absol. After a long time, the Disaster Pokemon shrugged. <"Okay. Thanks."> The Absol smiled brightly. <"I guess I get that.">
Ragnarok only shook his head, nudging his sister into the forest. Before the two disappeared into the woods, Apocalypse turned her head, grinning. <"Bye!">

The scizor watched them go with a slight tilt of her head, and then nodded in satisfaction as she walked back to the training area, her red shell giving off a metallic gleam in the exposed sunlight. "<Good.>" Suchi stated to herself in a raspy voice. She was never much of a talker... Never much of a maker of speeches really... But she was glad the absols understood, or more correctly, HOPED they understood her position.
Suchi paused though when she heard the faintest sound somewhere in the surrounding forest... The female scizor felt tense... Something didn't feel right... "<Absols?... Is that you?>" Without hearing a reply, Suchi felt her pincers click together. "<Show yourself.>" She demanded to the trees calmly.
