Jet sighed. How long would the vaccine freaking take!?<"So...all we can do is wait until they find the cure?Or is there more to this?">He asked, flicking his tail.Yet again the urge to scream was overwhelming. But a level 100 could deal with those sorts of issues.<"Mew's missing. The disease is back.Aura may or may not help.Plus the fact of what this disease does.....this is bad.">He muttered.<"Question.How fast does this disease spread? And should we tell the other regions?">He asked.

Umbra grinned, though his red/silver eyes never left the espeon. "<Shh Jet... Stay calm... I know this... I have a theory... But let the pretty espeon answer my question.>"
Theo snorted in disbelief. "<A theory? This outta be good...>"
Kriss growled a warning for Theo and Jet so Umbra could talk.

Jet rolled his eyes. What did Umbra have in mind now?<"Doesn't the tree have cells or something?I mean,if it's like a living creature and all that.Even if the cells can't do much good..that's not the point. Are the cells affected by this desease?">Jet said simply. It was logical.

Umbra grinned. "<Sigh... Jet... Jet... I told you to let me talk man. Can't give a black furred brother some slack? The tree isn't a tree. It's a rock. It has minerals and junk, not cells... And there is no disease for rocks... Now hold, I feel like I may be able to shed some light... But dear, beautiful Lily needs to answer my questions for me to say my theory with certainty.>"

Rain sighed, closing her eyes and massaging her temples. This was hurting her head...not to mention the rest of her body. It was really making her feel very tired, and she was starting to regret ever coming. All the angry and concerned aura flying around was really beginning to affect her, and it wasn't in a good way. "Look...Silver..." she said, her voice tired. "I never said we wanted to do this alone. We did because we had no choice. No one bothered to help us. I'm not rejecting help; in fact, I'd welcome it with open arms." Great Arceus, she was really starting to wish she brought some painkillror Silva or something. Her head really, really hurt.
Lily looked at Umbra thoughtfully. <"It seems that the disease did come from the Tree, or at least around it...the first time, the first cases emerged from around the Tree, and they did now as well. But it did not come from the aura...like Jet said, the Tree does indeed have cells. Not exactly cells like ours -- they carry nutrients and such. But they are cells.">
<"Anyway,"> she continued, <"Yes, the crystals are connected to the Tree. All the crystals around Cameron -- they're like extensions of the Tree. They absorb sunlight, which is how the Tree lives. It's much like a plant, really.">

Lily tilted her head, blinking. <"That's an interesting idea..."> she murmured. <"It could be it, actually. An imbalance in the aura could cause damage to the cells...after all, the Tree is very delicate."> And we already know there's an imbalance...Rain's sensed it, and so has Soul. <"The question would be what's causing the imbalance...although that may not be a hard question at all."> The absence of Mew, of course...

Umbra ~ 100 Theo ~ 79
Umbra perked right up. "<Well back to my theory then...>"
Theo sighed, rubbing his temples with a clawed hand.
Silver was currently glued to his pokemon, watching them curiously... It was almost as if they were talking to eachother...
"<It is not the disease that is the problem...>" The umbreon said seriously. "<It is the aura... Something is causing it to go corrupt, or something like that... I'm not exactly sure how aura works, but from what I heard so far, the aura is a life force of an individual right? And the Tree of Beginning is massive entity of it, which spreads throughout the forest. This "tree", connects to the forest, and all living things around it. But see? When something bad happens to the aura, this connection to the living things around gets corrupt as well... Don't you guys see? it's not the disease thats the problem... I think it's a side effect of something deeper, something to do with the life force. The disease manifested because of an imabalance of something, like not being strong enough so a body catches a disease for instance. I can easily imagine that for the tree and it's aura. Heck, the disease may not even be mutating, it may just be a result of the crystals that are connected to the tree and coming in contact with our life force, like a spreading cancer. And we know this... This disease happened recently by human standards, about 10 years... Mew I assume, was present for a longer time... That tree that is really a rock formation must be VERY old. Mew missing wasn't the problem or if it was, it was only part of it. Oh sure, he or she made sure aura was balanced, and that he or she had some control over it, but the disease was here regardless of mew's prescence. You said so yourself.>"
Umbra smiled. "<Unless the disease is an event that has happened before, we can all assume, that something has happened here the last ten years that has caused the tree to get diseased... Something unusual that has NOT happened to the tree before and happened recently and is still going on... Something corrupting it... Of course my theory could be counteracted by something as simple as that the problem has been steadily growing without us noticing till now, but I have serious doubts about that.>"
The umbreon grinned and bowed to Lily. "<In short, my theory is that there has been a 3rd party, entity, or action that was being taken place the last ten years that altered the aura, causing a disease that was intentional or otherwise.>"
Theo looked absolutely shocked before shrugging. "<That was.... Perceptive of you Umbra... Shame I don't see this side of you more...>"

Lily's eyes widened. <"That's brilliant..."> she whispered, then shook her head, blinking. <"You see, aura is like an type of energy -- a life energy. But there's different aspects of aura, sort of like different types. Most aura is a mix of two kinds: positive aura and negative aura, sort of like the idea of yin and yang. In an ideal situation, they would be in balance. Usually, when out of balance, someone or something just feels a little bad...but the Tree is very, very delicate and very, very old. It's not as adaptable. The slightest little shift can bring disaster. It's possible even that this disease targets aura...a huge imbalance in your aura can, in fact, kill you. If that's the case...it'll actually be easier to get rid of.">
Lily looked thoughtful. <"The thing is, many things could cause the imbalance. This could very well have happened before. I was too young to know what occurred last time...very few talk about the Epidemic. But I will tell you that you are wrong Umbra, at least partially. Mew's absence could be what's causing this...it was not what did it last time. But now, it seems like the most likely explanation.">
A sigh. <"I will admit that Mew is missing. I have been to Mew's Hollow...I know from a friend that Mew's aura is not anywhere within range, which means it is either dead or far away. It has to be the second, because if Mew was dead, the Tree would be too. I know your doubts. It's hard to believe in something that you have never seen. But I have seen it, and even if you don't believe that, believe that the Tree would die in fact without Mew."> Lily looked tired. <"I'm not one to tell lies Theo, Umbra. Mew is alive. And even if it isn't what caused the Epidemic last time, it could be what's causing it this time.">

Theo didn't say anything, only mulling over this new information thoughtfully.
Umbra twitched his long black ear, ring on his forehead glowing slightly. "<I still think we need to consider that mew's dissapearance is only part of the problem. Like making a bad situation worse. Something was causing an imbalance in the past, and could very well be doing it again. Thing is, we need to find someone who knows more about aura... I mean... We just aren't the types who would know much. Lily, you and Theo would be able to feel a little because of your mental connection, but we still have little go on... We need an expert... We need a lucario, and I heard there were a lot in this area.>"

Lily nodded. <"Mew can be absent for a while without any ill effects on the Tree...but this is worse than that. And if Mew is gone too long, the Tree will start to deteriorate more and more...also, if Mew is somehow injured, the Tree receives those repercussions, and vice versa. Yes, we do have to find out what's hurting the Tree...but we also have to find Mew. For one, if this is an issue related to aura, even a Lucario or multiple Lucarios wouldn't be able to stop it. Strong their aura may be, but it's not strong enough. Mew on the other hand...it has a massive amount of energy and thus a massive amount of aura, and it has control over it as well. Not only that, but Mew might be able to provide a clue to what's causing the disease. And even if we manage to end the disease without Mew, we still need it back, or the Tree will die anyway. Mew's absence is only making a bad situation worse.">
Lily looked uneasy, her forked tail waving slowly up and down. <"There aren't a lot of Lucarios in the area, not anymore...most of them are gone, either dead or captured. There are some though...we do know one. His name is Soul. He is centuries old and rather reclusive, and can be a bit wary of humans, but he will help; he protects the Tree."> And Rain. <"And there may be some...others...who can help as well."> At this, the Espeon fidgeted slightly.
Rain's head snapped to Lily. Did she really just say that? Darn it...this conversation was going to get out of control at some point. The girl looked back up at Silver with tired eyes. "I'm sorry, but...is there anything else? If not...I'd really like to go. Nothing against you, I'm just not feeling very well..."

Jet looked up.<"So..the tree does have cells.">He muttered.<"You said the desease isn't picky about it's victims....would the cells be affected too?">He asked again.<"And what would happen...if they do get infected? How would they mutate?Or would they just die out?">

Silver had his head resting on his hands, looking thoughtful before he glanced at Rain. "Of course... I'll report what I know... I'm sorry our conversation got heated in some points. I just... It's a lot to process... I'll go ahead and inform Professor Elm and my father about the plague. Maybe we will get some help on the issue."
Umbra nodded "<Mew is important I suppose. But we do got two problems to tangle with.>" The umbreon nodded to Lily. "<Perhaps we will talk later.>"
Theo nodded "<indeed.>"
Kriss just grumbled.
