Description:
In terms of appearance, Lazuli is fairly typical. Like all Lucario, she has a canine face with a black "mask" surrounding bright ruby-red eyes. At the sides of her head are the black dangles (two on each side), although unlike most Lucarios Lazuli's front dangle is shorter than the back one. Around her neck is a deep red sash --a Focus Sash -- obtained from the time she was in a circus. Her torso is covered by cream-colored fur ruffled at the neck and waist, but instead of having a spike in the middle of her chest, Lazuli, oddly enough, merely has a white oval that slightly resembles a smooth jewel or pearl. Her shoulders are surrounded by a black ring and her paws, slimmer than most, are colored black with white spikes growing from the top. A black "belt" winds around her hips lying above thighs like shorts. The rest of her legs are black and like all Lucarios, she stands on the balls of her feet. And behind her is the "crooked" tail of a Lucario. Another difference from other Lucarios is that her fur is a deeper blue -- the color of Lapis Lazuli, just like her name.
Standing at about 3'9", Lazuli is slightly shorter than most Lucarios, although not by much. With her nature, she's considerably faster than other Lucarios, although her special defense is lower. The most exceptional thing about Lazuli, however, is her physical abilities. Her time with a circus helped her develop extraordinary flexibility and physical prowess. Skilled in acrobatics, Lazuli can commonly be seen walking on her paws or doing flips and cartwheels. Her gymnastic ability also carries over to battle, a useful skill that infuriates her opponents. This ability combined with her aura-sensing abilities gives her another ability: the ability to disable her opponent. By sensing how the aura flows through her opponent's body, the Lucario can hit her opponent's pressure points, effectively stopping their own abilities such as their elemental skills and can even stop their movement for a time. However, she tends not to use this skill in regular battle and usually only uses it to end a battle quickly.
Personality:
Lazuli is not your typical Lucario in terms of personality. While most Lucario are solemn, serious, and quiet, Lazuli is the exact opposite. She seems to have boundless energy and enthusiasm and is extremely peppy and happy; it's extremely rare to not see a smile on Lazuli's face. Her enthusiasm also comes with a tendency to flirt with anyone the Lucario deems cute, although she usually doesn't truly like someone. Even when battling, Lazuli seems to have her happy-go-lucky, flirtatious attitude. One can practically feel the energy radiating from her.
Due to her joyful personality, Lazuli is understandably a bit immature. She's got a rather optimistic look on life, although she does understand the harsher things -- she just tends not to show it. Due to this, she's often seen as naive, which she likely is. Still, she certainly does act silly, facinated in trivial things and often acting extremely childlike. Even in battle she acts like everything is a game, something that can annoy her opponents to no end.
Still, underneath her enthusiastic, cheerful attitude is a girl who just seeks individuality. Once just like everyone else, almost everything Lazuli does, from her cheerful attitude to her acrobatic tendencies is done to distinguish her from others, to make her a unique individual. Thus, anything that makes fun of her for that makes her angry, and is one of the few things that does. Actually, very few things infuriate or annoy her or even bother her. In fact, Lazuli has little to no sense of justice, part of what makes her good at her job as a mercenary of sorts. Although she does have loyalty and a sense of right and wrong, it's buried deep down, and it takes quite a bit to bring it out.
History:
Born on December 3 to a male Hitmonlee and a female Lucario, both of which belonged to different breeders. Understandably, Lazuli never had much of a family. In fact, she was basically part of a set, just a bunch of Riolu to be sold to a trainer. She never even had a name. After about two months, Lazuli couldn't stand it. The Riolu was rebellious with a strong sense of individuality, so she did the best thing she could think of to retain her individuality: she ran away.
Traveling alone for a couple weeks, the Riolu soon met up with a circus -- and so began some of the best times in her life. Led by a kind human, the traveling circus, filled with many different Pokemon with unique talents, seemed like a dream come true. With some training, Lazuli soon became extremely acrobatic and also developed her disabling talent, which was used as her act in the circus (the small Riolu would take down a large, strong Machamp -- of course, he would be healed afterwards, and there was nothing but friendship between the two). It was also at the circus she was given her name -- Lapis Lazuli, for her deep blue fur and also her uniqueness, her "rarity," as you could say. Very quickly, the Riolu evolved into a Lucario from happiness.
Unfortunately, after a year and a half, the circus was forced to break up due to a lack of money, and the Pokemon and human sadly went their separate ways. Traveling alone for a short while, Lazuli soon met up with another Pokemon: a Weavile by the name of Raven, unhappy under a strict, cold, and controlling trainer. The Lucario helped release the Weavile by smashing her Pokemon, and the two have been traveling together ever since (despite their conflicting personalities), occasionally working for Pokemon as very effective mercenaries in exchange for some kind of payment.
